A new Dali exhibition has opened in the Belgian city of Liege. Have a look at our 3 min video which includes jewellery created by Dali, a taste of his obsession with aphrodisiacs, his disagreement with Picasso, and a glimpse of his godson, who is also an artist, who painted a portrait of Dali there, on the spot, in 30 minutes, using paintbrushes attached to the end of a sword! Enjoy!
A brief glimpse of the Brussels Motor Show where we show cars as well as concept cars from the following manufacturers: Ferrari, Lambourghini, BMW, Range Rover, Mercedes, Lexus, Renault, Nissan, Peugeot, Alpha Romeo, Maserati, Tesla, McLaren, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Bentley ,Ferrari and VW. A big thank you to the Isuzu (Taiko) drummers who let me join them :)
Brussels is also home to the Michelin Star WY Restaurant which is actually inside a car showroom! What better way to enjoy a car show than to also enjoy fine dining in a car showroom! Enjoy :)
Opening with a few bloopers, we begin our video with one of Belgium's best chocolatiers, Benoit Nihant before heading into Liege's famous Sunday market which meanders along the river. We then meet the most famous waffle maker in the city before stopping in a park to eat some where we encounter a local. Moments later we head to the phenomenal practical work of art that is Liege train station before looking up the very long corridor of Spanish Steps *gulp.*
Searching for a bite to eat we happen upon a brewery offering beer ice cream, but as neither of us drink, we find a 'small' ice cream elsewhere to enjoy. Stopping to see three of the cities museums we bump into another local, a skateboarder who shares his views before heading off to discover one of the 7 wonders of Belgium.
We close with a brief stop off at Franchi, a famous ice-cream parlours, a glimpse of some dining in Liege, and acknowledging the aquarium. Enjoy :)
At the 2015 reenactment of the Battle of Waterloo, Belgium. Our video opens with a glimpse of the reenactment and a voice-over from Antony Mason, author of Waterloo & Beyond, a Bradt travel guide, sharing some insight. We then go behind the scenes, meet ‘Napoleon,’ visit the Allied and the French camps, ending with a few words from reenactors and some humour. - War is of course not something to be laughed at. Perhaps the better we humanity remember our past, the less likely we are to repeat acts of injustice going forward. This, the largest Napoleonic reenactment was for that exact purpose. Peace.
On a trip to discover Belgian fashion, our video opens with words from Diane von Furstenburg and includes actress Rosario Dawson, designer Anne Chapelle, and entrepreneur Abrima Erwiah. We then have a glimpse of the La Cambre fashion show. Meet Elvis - a famous Belgian hat designer. Concluding with a glimpse of the Bozar exhibition in colloboration with MAD Brussels; along with a few words from the exhibition sponsor. Enjoy
